Week 10: 10/10
This weekend my friends Jake, Tyress, Nick and Taylor came up to visit (along with my brother who has been here) and it was a fun time! Among the many things we got to do were visit the Chicago Institute of Art, eat deep dish pizza and explore the city. I'm really glad made the trek all the way out here :)
My Favorite part of the weekend was definitely the art museum. The exhibit showcasing impressionist paintings, Van Gogh like paintings, really stood out to me. The longer you stared at them the less they seemed like images from a dream and the more they seemed as if they were a part of reality. This one of a woman playing the piano was one of my favorites. It's creepy and inviting at the same time. I also really enjoyed a lot of the medieval and renaissance art. Much of the art representing religion was breathtaking and the ornate weapons they had on display, including a tri-barreled pistol. There's so much I didn't get to see that I will be making a second trip before I leaveEvery meal we ate over the weekend was from a restaurant. I spent more money than I was happy with but it was worth it. We ate at Native Foods, Giordanos Pizza and Ramen San and aslo got "the best iced mocha's ever" at Peete's Coffee.
A good amount of time was spent simply hanging out playing pool or videogames and catching up on what everyone had been up to. Ever since high school cross country ended I really don't see these guys to often so this was especially enjoyable for me. It reminded me of all the fun we had and still have together. Love you guys <3
In terms of how the project is going, we're very close to finishing everything up for the minimum viable product. Our core product is finished and now we are at the point where we are making it more precise and adding in additional features. Fulcrum is flying out all of the interns to Vegas in August for ILTAcon so we have to finish fast if we are gonna be ready! Something funny happened today. See I was watching this mini-documentary about click farms and how easy it was to buy like, views, and comments on social media and thought it would be interesting to see if it worked. Well when my brother posted a photos from his trip on Instagram I thought it was the perfect opportunity. When discussing the idea with some other interns, one of them said they knew someone who could do it for me for a really low price, 70,000 likes for $15.00 exactly (a lot better than the going rate of $65 for 20,000 likes online). So I said lets do it and about an hour later my brother had over 20,000 likes on his picture. Gotta love Computer science !

Ten weeks is a long way from home and having my friends come and go has really made me start to miss it. I'm at a point where I'm excited to get back home and to school and start up again, minus the constant work and staying up late and hating your life part. Until next time...
